NPP Germany Wing QUITS Party

The Germany Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has defected from the party, claiming the leadership of the party has failed to address their grievances.

Speaking to Peacefmonline.com, the group accused the Chairman of the NPP Germany Wing, Mr. Alex Acheampong of rigging his elections in Germany to emerge victor, something they have disputed and petitioned the leadership of the NPP but to no avail.

They said, after noticing that there was over-voting and rigging by the Germany Chairman (Alex Acheampong), the group filed an official complaint to the party's General Secretary, John Boadu, who failed to respond to their misgivings over the election of the Mr. Acheampong.

Following the group's rejection of the Germany Chairman on suspicion of election irregularities, the party has reportedly disallowed them from participating in the elections at the NPP National Delegates Conference currently happening at the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern Region.

Chairman of a branch in Germany, Owusu Acheampong, also expounding the issue further on Peace FM/UTV and on behalf of the group, noted that a vote of no confidence has been passed in Alex Acheampong and so do not recognize him and his executives in the wing.

He stated categorically that the party wing in Germany has "resigned" from the NPP and will no more engage in NPP-related activities until their concerns are addressed by the leadership.

"We, the people from Germany, have resigned. We won't join the party again," he stressed.
