The final countdown is on as voting to elect national officers for the ruling New Patriotic Party at its 26th national delegates conference underway in Koforidua, Eastern region, has started.
Under the general theme of "Building a Stronger Party; Delivering Prosperity to Ghanaians", the 6,000 delegates are voting to elect key national officers, including chairpersons, general secretary, national organiser and treasurer from among 41 aspirants.
The specific posts being contested are;

The elections are being supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission. Various political parties, with the noted exception of the National Democratic Congress, delivered solidarity messages to the NPP.
