Lets Work To Sustain The Peace

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwabre East, Iddisa Adams, has appealed to people in the area to help to sustain the prevailing peace and harmony. Addressing a two-day ordinary meeting of the assembly at Mamponteng, he said progress could not be achieved in an atmosphere of confusion and conflicts. He said he was happy that the district had been spared of chieftaincy and other disputes and urged that differences must always be resolved through dialogue. I am glad that to date, we have not heard of any conflicts or disturbance, be it land, chieftaincy or religious in any part of the district and I, believe honourable members have been very supportive. He appealed to them to put political affiliations aside and ensure a united front to inject some pace into the implementation of the districts development agenda. Mr Adams said they should also join in efforts at improving the assemblys revenue collection performance and that the ability to support community development initiatives would be dependent on the strength of its finances. Baffour Asumin Gyekye, the Presiding Member, advised the members to continue to work hard to bring more progress to the area.
