The National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams may not seek re-election, if the party opens nomination to kick start the process for internal jostling for posts in the party.

The outspoken NDC executive is eyeing a parliamentary seat in the Volta – and has a team working underground to ensure that his ambition to become a lawmaker becomes a reality.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, the former spokesperson for the founder of the party, Jerry John Rawlings says rumors about his intention to contest a parliamentary seat “should not be ruled out” –  if the party opens nomination to kick start the process.

“I don’t want to say I won’t or will contest the National Organizer position again, it will have some effects. People are putting out their rumors out there [concerning my MP ambition] but we are still engaging people privately. I can’t disclose that on radio,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye. 

Reports say Mr. Adams’ decision to contest as MP stem from calls from residents as well as the youth of the area for him to represent them in Parliament.
