THE ASHANTI Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed its gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for his commitment to develop the region and better the lives of the people in the process.
According to the party, the president, during his four-day working tour of the region, proved beyond every reasonable doubt that indeed he has the interests of the region and its people at heart.
The Ashanti Regional NPP pointed out that the visit of the president had clearly demystified several landmark projects that the Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration had started in the region since it attained power.
In a press release, authored by Kwasi Kyei, the Ashanti Regional NPP Communications Director, the party, on behalf of the entire residents of the region, wished the president well for having the region at heart.
Kwasi Kyei lauded the president for the respect that he has for Asante tradition as he (Nana Akufo-Addo) visited several traditional leaders in the region and sought their blessings even before he commenced the tour.
He stated that the president inaugurated the Greater Kumasi Roads Facelift Project, which includes the construction of 150 kilometres of asphalt overlay, 145 kilometres of resealing and 180 kilometres of rehabilitation and reconstruction.
He indicated that the president also visited some ‘One District, One Factory’ projects in the region and also cut the sod for the construction of a 150 affordable housing facility at Atwima Nwabiagya District named after ex-President Kufuor.
According to the NPP communications director, the tour of the president was very fruitful, adding “I wish to express our profound appreciation to the president for his commitment to the development of the region”.
