Minister for Inner-Cities and Zongo Development, Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid On Thursday, 30th August, 2018,visited Kyebi Zongo in the Eastern Region as part of his Inner-Cities and Zongos Tour.

In a company of Hon. Samuel Atta Akyea, Minister for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Abdul- Hamid first visited the Chief of Kyebi Zongo, Alhaji Abubakar Umar and his elders at the Chief’s palace.

He therefore appealed to the Chief and his elders for their support as he pursues President Akufo-Addo’s vision of social inclusion and development for Inner-Cities and Zongos. On his part, the Chief of Kyebi Zongo thanked the Minister for the visit and pledged their unflinching support.

At the East Akim Municipal Assembly, Dr. Abdul-Hamid addressed Chiefs, Imams, Opinion Leaders and people of Kyebi Zongo.

The Minister reiterated his belief in using education to develop inner-cities and Zongo communities.

He promised to engage them as the Ministry implements developmental projects and programs.

The Minister and his entourage inspected the progress of work for the construction of an Artificial Football Pitch at Kyebi.

The contractors promised the project will be completed on schedule.
