Ghana Tourism Development CEO Signs Book Of Condolence For Kofi Annan

The Chief Executive of the Ghana Tourism Development Company on Friday, 31st August 2018, signed the book of condolence of the late Busumuru Kofi Annan at the Accra Conference Centre.

Mr Odame Antwi who sits in the seat of the late former UN Secretary General, who also served as the first Director of the Ghana Tourism Development Company between 1972-1974 described the late Secretary General as a peace loving man who had Ghana at heart.

He added that Mr Annan was a tourism icon of this country who after leaving the company to serve for the world body still shone a great light on his country with his dedication to global cause.

Mr Antwi believes Ghanaians can emulate this and serve as great ambassadors of this country in the same way Mr Annan dedicated himself to the world.

The Ghana Tourism Development Company is the commercial wing of the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture established to lead in tourism investments and infrastructure developments in the sector.

It was set up in 1972 with the former United Nations Secretary as its Managing Director for two years from 1974 - 1976.
