If you are a resident of Abelemkpe, you might want to pay attention to the quality of your roofing.

Over the last few months, roofs have become the point of entry for robbers in one of the prime areas of the capital, Accra.

A few weeks ago, Yussif Amadu, a phone shop owner lost over gh15,000 worth of goods and it all went through the roof.

Thieves had broken through his shop and ransacked it. After his loss, he still had to incur the cost of fortifying his roof in order to prevent a re-occurrence.

But Yussif is not alone in this. Joshua Kanyi, an eatery operator has also fallen victim to the same tactics. His LED TV and CC TV cameras among other things were all stolen.

With the increasing spate of robberies in the area, even the churches have not been left off the hook.

A number of churches have been robbed of their offerings and assets.
