Golden Star Ltd To Partner Gov't To Fix Bad Roads In Prestea Huni-Valley

The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Kwaku Asoma Kyeremeh has urged Golden Star Bogoso Prestea Ltd (GSBPL), a multinational Canadian Gold Mining Company operating within Bogoso-Prestea enclave; to partner the Government of Ghana and fix the deplorable roads in Prestea Huni-Valley.

The Minister made this comment during his first visit to GSBPL on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in the company of Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resource, Antwi Bosiako, Chief Executive of Mineral Commission, Mathew Ababio, Director of Monitoring and Planning at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources; and MCE Hon Mozart Kwaku Owuh.

Addressing officials of GSBPL, Hon. Kwaku Asoma Kyeremeh said “we have done our consultation and we have seen that 1KM will cost about $1 million, so government will want to partner you (GSBPL), so that you also assist with the fixing of the road. I believe when it is done, people will appreciate you more”.

Mr. Ahmed Salim Adam, Deputy Manager of GSBPL assured that the company will help government to put the roads in good shape.
