Public Sector Workers Asks Govt To Stay Away From Pension Funds
The Forum of Public Sector workers has warned the government to stay away from the pension fund of workers.
The Forum, made up of 12 unions says it has heard suggestions by the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Samuel Atta Akyea to the effect that 30 percent of pension funds should be used for mortgages.
At a news conference in Accra on Wednesday morning, Chairman of the Forum, Mr Isaac Bampoe-Addo said the Forum will in no way allow the government to touch its funds.
More than Ghc10 billion is in the funds as of now.
