Nana Governs With Principles, Mahama Was An “Autopilot” President- Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako, has responded to claims by former president Mahama that President Akufo-Addo should dream big for the progress of the country by indicating that whilst the former governed the nation without principles, the current applies principles.

Mr. Antwi-Boasiako explains that the current positive developments Ghanaians are seeing in all sectors of the economy, is a result of President Akufo-Addo thinking through the problems former president Mahama left behind.

“As for former president Mahama he was governing Ghana on autopilot. His mood determined how he ruled, he had no plans and solutions. He was just happy to be called president. He stayed in power but never learned he constantly remained a novice”, the NPP chairman said.

The NPP scribe affectionately called Chairman Wontumi, noted that he is keeping tab on the Northern Region tour of Mr. Mahama and seriously believes the former president is filling the huge gap of progress the Akufo-Addo led government has blessed Ghana with.

During the recent tour of the former president, he is on record to have told delegates of the National Democratic Congress in the Tamale South constituency that

"I travelled around the world and saw decent airports but when you come to Kotoka [International] Airport Terminal Two, it was so disappointing. And so it takes a dreamer to dream about projects like Terminal Three and I dreamt it and I said Ghana can have an airport like that”.

He continued by urging “Nana Akufo-Addo to dream big for the progress of the country.”

But Chairman replied his message by suggesting that if the entire tenure of the former president is to be compared to the administration of President Akufo-Addo, the progress we see now dwarfs that of the former president.
