President Mills promotes 12 Directors

President John Evans Atta Mills on the advice of the Ghana Prisons Service Governing Board has approved the promotion of 12 Senior Officers of the Service with effect from January 1, 2010. This is contained in a statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Vitalis Aiyeh, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Service, made available to GNA in Accra on Thursday. It said Ms Matilda Baffour-Awuah, formerly Director of Prisons in-charge of Finance and Administration, had been promoted to Deputy Director-General of Prisons in-charge of Finance and Administration. Mr. Benjamin Quaye, formerly Director of Prisons in-charge of Technical and Services has been promoted to Deputy Director-General of Prisons in-charge of Operations, Mr. E.C. Adjei-Koreeh formerly Deputy Director of Prisons has been promoted to Director of Prisons and Ms Elizabeth King formerly Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP) has been promoted to Director of Prisons. Others are Ms Caroline C. Kumassey formerly Deputy Director of Prisons promoted to Director of Prisons; Mr. Ackom Gyeedu Kwame formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons, Mr. Isaac Frimpong-Manso formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons and Mr. Patrick D. Missah formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons. The rest are Mr. Emmanuel Y. Adzator formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons, Mr. M. Ahwa-Yankey formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons, Mrs. Emma D. Sawyeer-Laryea formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons and Mr. Philip Laari formerly Assistant Director of Prisons promoted to Deputy Director of Prisons.
