John Mahama Masterminded The Outcast Of The Volta Voice In NDC
Prior to the commencement of the National Delegate Congress, there were whispers of a grand scheme to outcast all persons from the Volta region from the all national executives positions.
An allegation we ignored until midway the congress where all evidence showed Mr. Mahama and his corhots were pushing this divisive agenda.
If we could recall, during the submission of nomination forms for National Youth Organiser position, Mr. Ellekim Kototo, a son from the Volta region was disqualified without any substantial reason only to pave way for an Akan face to win that elections and sadly, the few who went through suffered in the hands of Mahama's fight for supremacy.
As part of Mr. Mahama grand scheme to hijack the NDC, he orchestrated these;
1. Outcast the Volta caucus from the National fronts, because he believes that would reduce the relevance of the Founder of our party, who is a Voltarian;
2. Get his favourites elected to strategic national positions, so he can hijack the NDC for years.
All these allegations were confirmed considering how Ex President Mahama, now flagbearer hopeful supported the campaign of all aspirants who contested against anybody from the Volta region, with the likes of Sammy Gyemfi, Akamba and the others benefiting so well.
A sad reality that is detrimental to the unity and fortunes of the NDC in 2020 and beyond.
It is sad how he fished out huge sums of money and as well seek for support from his appointees to candidates who were contested against a Voltarian during the just ended congress.
Mr. Mahama neither recognised the Volta region during his time as President and it's sad he has finally succeeded at outcasting all Voltarians from the National Executives face.
But, if the NDC thinks it can't stand enough without the Founder and the Volta caucus we live to see.
