NPP Will Not Rely On NDC Weakness But On Their Own Strength

The national organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku has boldly stated that NPP is going to rely on its own strength but not on NDC’s weakness.

According to Mr. Awuku, the NPP  as a party will give the Akufo-Addo government all the necessary support and make sure it moves in unity and strength.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Programme, he reiterated that the good work of President Akufo Addo will speak volume on the ballot paper in the next election in 2020.

"There are so many interventions brought by NPP government such as free SHS, NabCo, planting for food and jobs etc and I believe that will do the magic for us", he mentioned.

Again he stressed that, “in 2020, there will be no complacency, the race is not a foregone conclusion for the governing NPP, hence the need to avoid complacency and strengthen the base of the party as we work to retain power in 2020".

“We’ve started on a good note; Our President is largely fulfilling all campaign promises and I can tell you NPP will not be complacent in 2020 elections,” he stressed.

Reacting to the just ended National Democratic Congress (NDC) congress at trade fair, Mr. Awuku gave them a thump's up for their successful congress; thanking God on their behalf for incident free congress.

He therefore welcomes the new elected national executives of NDC to another political defeat in the next general election.

“I would have been extremely worried if Baba Jamal and Yaw Boateng Gyan were part of the current executive base on their Pedigree, strong and their grassroots touch base etc but for the current ones no cause for alarm”, he averred.
