Kyeremateng Agyarko Was "Contagious" - Nana Ofori Owusu Pays Tribute To Late MP

Aspiring National Chairman of the People's Progressive Party (PPP), Nana Ofori Owusu has paid tribute to the late Ayawaso West Wougon Member of Parliament (MP), Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Nana Ofori Owusu described the sudden demise of the late MP as unfortunate but believed he (Kyeremateng Agyarko) lived an impactful life that has left an indelible mark on the people he impacted.

Recounting some fond memories of his time together with the late MP and staunch member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Ofori Owusu told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that Mr. Kyeremateng Agyarko was an affable person who despite his political affiliation related with all parties amicably.

He described the deceased as being "contagious" saying "the man was contagious . . . We have fond memories. We'll hold on to them . . . We love him and we pray for God to keep his soul in peace".

About the Late MP

Mr. Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the United States of America after taken ill.

He died at age 61.

Born on December 10, 1957, the deceased was pharmacist, a medical doctor and a politician.

He was a former Chief Executive Officer of the Food and Drugs Board now Authority (FDA) and hailed from Odumasi-Krobo in the Eastern Region.

He had a Bachelor in Pharmacy which he obtained at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the year 1982.

He was Chairperson of the Environment, Science and Technology Committee in Parliament. He also served on the Government Assurance and Health Committees.

The late MP was a Fellow of the Ghana College of Pharmacists and was the brother of former Energy Minister, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko.

He was married with seven children.
