Minister Cautions Kotoko Ahead Of Coton Sports Game

Mr Isaac Kwame Asiamah, Minister of Youth and Sports (MOYS), has asked Kumasi Asante Kotoko, not to be complacent in their final qualifying game against Coton Sport of Cameroon in the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

This was contained in a goodwill message from MOYS to the Porcupine Warriors.

In a statement signed by Miss Gifty Eghan, Assistant Public Relations Officer of MOYS and copied to the GNA Sports, it said, “we urge the team to remain focused and avoid complacency. We shall be at the Baba Yara Stadium in our numbers to support the porcupine Warriors to victory.

“As Ghana’s sole representative in this year’s competition, Asante Kotoko carries the aspirations and hopes of the nation.

“This should spur the team on to victory, make progress and do our country proud in the competition”.

Kotoko, defeated Coton Sport 3:2 in the first leg at Cameroon a fortnight ago stand the chance of advancing to the group stages of the competition, if they get a healthy result from Sunday's game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
