It's a "Lie From The Pit of Hell"; Stop Spreading Allegations Or Else,... - Sam George Warns NPP

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram constituency has threatened to go to court if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) does not stop accusing him of leading macho men on motorbikes to the Bawaleshie electoral area last Thursday.

Sam George Nartey is accused of leading 15 motor bike riders to La Bawaleshie during the by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

According to the NPP, this action triggered the shoot out that occurred within the voting enclave.

There were 15 motor bikes that came to a particular polling station led by Hon. Sam George. When they came there Hon. Oko Vanderpuiye asked them to leave. They left and went to a particular house near a polling station. They started firing from inside that particular house which drew attention of security men who went there. So nine people came out of the house and started hurling stones at the security men around. They rounded them up, some resisted arrest, others got injured and then these nine were sent to the Police station,” Minister of State in Charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong is quoted to have said on Accra-based Citi FM.

But speaking on Newsfile programme on Joy News channel, Sam George debunked these claims stating that he drove to the polling centre alone.

"It is not true I went there with motor riders. I don’t know where these allegations are coming from. It is a lie from the pit of hell. I drove alone . . . I had no driver. This allegation must end . . . you attack an unarmed member of parliament and you turn around throwing accusations . . . I will not sit down for them to denigrate my integrity. Anybody who repeats this again will hear from my lawyers," he warned.
