A Better Ghana Agenda?....Money Swine

As majority of Ghanaians await impatiently to witness and reap the Better Ghana agenda as promised by President John Evans Atta Mills, all Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives, just as a year in office, are smiling all the way to their banks to cash a mouthwatering 500 million. The staggering 500 million for each M/DCE is being termed as arrears according to a grass to grace DCE who was chatting away with friends at a hideout in one of the countrys metropolis who inadvertently let out the information. There are currently 170 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the country. Although this reporter was not in the company of the DCEs friends who were blowing the night away, the DCE was overheard making a mini budget of his new fortune, which he was yet to cash at the bank. The DCE according to checks has been in office for less than nine months. Although efforts by The New Crusading Guide to officially authenticate the claims by the DCE from the Controller and Accountant Generals Department hit a snag, an insider confirmed it. According to the source, pay slips for January 2010 captured the skyrocketing amount as arrears for the M/DCEs. The source further indicated that the huge amount has been a centre of controversy among workers of the CAGD. Stay tuned
