16-Year Old Boy Kills His Parents For His Drug Gang Initiation

A 16-year-old Mexican boy has allegedly killed his parents and stuffed their bodies into plastic bags before dumping them as part of an initiation ritual to join a drug trafficking gang.

The teen who has not been named, reported his parents as missing in Ahuatepec in Morelos, Mexico, and said he had not been able to contact them by phone, but two weeks later their bodies were reportedly found in Cerritos de Garcia, Morelos, inside separate black plastic bags and wrapped in adhesive tape.

The couple had died from knife wounds and investigators soon began to suspect the son had killed his own parents. Blood marks and remains of adhesive tape were allegedly found in the family home, along with evidence on the youngster's shoes. A blade, which is being treated as the potential alleged murder weapon, was also allegedly found.

The teenager eventually confessed to the killing, according to reports. He and one of his friends were reportedly taken in for police interviews and investigators found contradictions in their stories.

Both suspects reportedly ended up confessing to the crime, saying they committed the double murder as part of a trial to become members of a local drug trafficking gang. The pair were arrested and the authorities are looking for a third suspect, believed to be a taxi driver who belongs to the gang, it is reported.

According to the research done by Semaforo Delictivo, Morelos leads the national statistic in high impact crimes.
