Be Alive To The Needs Of Your Communities - Deputy NSS Director Tasks Personnel

The Deputy Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme, Mr Kwaku Ohene Djan, has tasked National Service Personnel to be alive to the needs of the very communities they are deployed to serve.

The Deputy Executive Director made these comments during the formal handing over of a borehole project by the leadership of the National Service Personal Association (NASPA) to the chiefs and people of Kwahu Fodour in the Eastern Region.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Djan heaped praises on the leadership of NASPA as he emphasized on the relief brought to the community particularly the women and students within the locality.

“Thanks to the action of NASPA the routine man hours which students and women used in search of clean water has ceased and the money which would have otherwise been used in treating water borne diseases would now be saved...water is life and wealth," he stressed.

Mr. Ohene Djan also expressed satisfaction on the ongoing NSS farm expansion projects which he claimed would go a long way to support the free SHS program of the Akufo Addo led government.

It would be recalled that few weeks ago the executive Director of the Scheme, hon Mustapha Ussif presented some 5000 bags of maize to the National Buffer Stock as the schemes contribution to the ongoing free SHS, this Mr Ohene Djan expects to double in the upcoming year.
