Election 2020: NPP Declares Operation 24 Seat In Greater Accra

The Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Moses Abor has stated emphatically that Greater Accra NPP has declared "agenda 24 seat campaign" to secure 24 parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra Region in the next 2020 general elections.

Moses Abor disclosed this agenda of the NPP in Greater Accra Region last Saturday 6th April, 2019 during the health walk of the loyal ladies, a vibrant female group within the party to mark their 3rd anniversary in Legon Botanical Garden.

He said the party is ready to snatch more seats from the NDC in 2020.

Speaking to a cross section of the media after the program, Hon. Moses Abor indicated that "NPP has declared operation 24 seat and that we are going all out to win more parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra Region with a very wide margin".

To him, the expectation of the party in the Greater Accra is to win nothing less than 80 per cent as the party has performed creditably well over the last two years and so they intend to do everything humanly possible to project the good work of the President.

He however encouraged the loyal ladies to always be bold enough to project the NPP led government in that spectacular way as they have been doing as a group.

“I am telling you with the fact that 2020 is agenda 24 parliamentary seat and we are seriously working towards it . . . we are not going to leave any space for NDC . . . I will do everything I can to secure more seats for NPP and Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo recounting on all the good polices and the vision of the President . . . we  will not allow NDC to come back to power and destroy them as they did in 2008 . . . NDC is already dead and burried,” he stressed.

The Greater Accra Regional Parliamentary statistics indicates that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) won 21 out of the 34 Parliamentary seats, whilst the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took 13.

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) presently holds 21 out of the 34 seats in Greater Accra.

The NDC has targeted to increase its base by grabbing more seat which according to them is achievable as part of a broad-based plan and agenda to win more votes to guarantee a second term for President John Dramani Mahama.
