Adongo and Ato Forson Lack The Credibility To Talk About The Economy – Nana B

The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B has appealed to Ghanaians to give the Akufo-Addo led NPP government more years to transform the country.

According to him, in less than two years the NPP government led by President Akufo-Addo, has rolled out several socio-economic interventions which have enhanced the development of Ghana.

Reacting to the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) public lecture on the Ghanaian Economy held last Thursday, he stated that he is saddened the opposition party delivered a lecture that was nothing good to write home about.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Programme with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, he stated that the Adongo-led economic team of the NDC were series of jokers who failed to live up to expectation.

Nana B reiterated that he cannot agree more with what the vice president said earlier at the town hall meeting that “our worst performance in two years is far better than NDC’s best in 8 years.”

“If Ghanaians give us another mandate they will see the total transformation in our economy...what NDC is good about is propaganda especially with the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar but thanks be to the Finance Minister for working hard to stabilize the cedi against the dollar", he said.

He further praised the NPP government for its interventions in clearing debts owed the NHIS, school feeding  and the restoration of the nursing and teachers training allowances in less than 2 years.

“Adongo and Ato Forson couldn’t even secure 10 jobs for their constituencies so they don’t have any credibility to talk about the economy… They should just shut up because they couldn’t achieve what NPP is doing in less than two years.... They should prove to us exactly what they have done for this country then we can compare our performance and see who has done better for this country…if we are given that long mandate then we will do well in this country,” he stressed.

The transformation that the NPP anticipates, he noted, cannot be possible if the party doesn't get an extensive period in governance; adding that "we have confidence that when Ghanaians give NPP more mandate we can move the economy forward".
