Executive Director of 'Se Eye Woba Anka' [SEWA] Foundation Mr. Jones Owusu Yeboah has said that cases of trafficking are serious than one can think of.

He said about 80 percent [%] of prostitutes all over the world are not happy with what they do yet they have to continue and conform to the practice due to the devilish oaths and terms of contract made to their traffickers.

“ . . Indeed trafficking cases are very serious to deal with as they come in different types. What Ghana is going through now is the kidnapping type,” he said. 

According to him the trafficking groups do not easily disclose information about themselves when caught because every single information disclosed from a member can channel or trace everything the group is involved in.

“It is not an easy task extorting information from a trafficker that is why the suspected kidnapper, Samuel Udoetuk Wills involved in the Takoradi case has till now not spoken about anything. They don’t mind losing their lives than give out an information,” he said on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme concerning the three Takoradi kidnapped girls.

Mr. Owusu Yeboah further commented they [kidnappers] also have mobile phones which are correctly in use but are not connected to any network.
