Students Who Allegedly Murdered Headmaster Remanded

Four of the six students who assaulted the headmaster of Salvation Army Basic School at Asiakwa; leading to his death have been remanded in prison custody.

The two who were arrested later are helping the police in their investigation and will appear in court tomorrow.

The six students were said to have beaten up George Somuah Bosompem for cautioning them to stop smoking and defecating in the school.

On April 28, 2019, while walking with a lady friend, the suspected addicts brutally attacked the deceased.

The suspects did not also spare the lady friend of the deceased as they manhandled her.

The incident attracted many residents to the scene and fortunately, a Police Patrol team managed to arrest one of the suspects, Richard Amaning, 18, alias Konko while the other accomplices managed to run away.

The Headteacher who was badly injured was rushed to the Kibi Government Hospital and later transferred to St. Joseph Hospital where he passed away.

Later, Police investigations led to their arrest.
