I’m Not Happy With NPP’s Two Years Performance In Arts Sector – Socrate Safo

Ghanaian movie director and producer, Socrate Safo has said that the two years performance of the ruling Government with regards to the arts industry is unsatisfactory.

The Director for Creative Arts, Programs and Projects at the National Commission on Culture (NCC) said he is not pleased with Government’s achievement with the arts industry.

The entertainment pundit told the host of Morning Zoo on Starr 103.5FM, Kojo Preko Dankwa, his desire to see the entertainment industry thrive after the NPP assumed office in 2016 has not fulfilled.

“I’m not happy with regards to what we have done in two years. If I say I’m so happy about it then it is a big lie. I wish and I know we could have done better,” Scorate Safo told Kojo Preko Dankwa

He is optimistic that the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture can do better to make the arts industry viable.

Safo, a member of NPP’s Creative Arts For Change was part of the popular faces in the Ghanaian entertainment industry who embarked on a house–to–house campaign to canvass for votes for the elephant family in the 2016 elections.
