Owusu Bempah Begs Men of God To Stop 'Unreligious' Works, But . . .

The founder and leader of the Glorious Word Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah says move by parliament to enact laws to regulate activities of churches is “laudable” – but cautioned the august house to be careful.

He admitted that some of his colleagues are “not real men of God” and claimed that some use sacrilegious words on the pulpit with questionable miracles being performed.

“The things some pastors do in their various churches are unreligious and unacceptable. They have caused the wrath of parliament. We beg them to stop,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Thursday, May 30, 2019.

Parliament could soon enact laws to regulate activities of churches solely owned and run by individuals and self-professed pastors termed as “one-man church.”

Some Members of Parliament want the house to take steps to control and sanitize these churches.

Some of these churches are alleged to have been engaging in all manner of unacceptable practices in the country.

According to the MPs, there is a need for Parliament to critically investigate the activities of these churches and pastors to protect Ghanaians from exploitation.

But, Rev. Owusu Bempah urged parliament to be cautious with their regulations.
