President Mills Wants Ghanas Heroes Honoured

The President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills Mills says the nations heroes need to be honoured in order to prove a point that it pays to serve a people wholeheartedly. President Mills stated these when a delegation of chiefs and people from the Takyiman Traditional area met him at the Castle, Osu, to officially inform him about the funeral of their late famous paramount chief. The late paramount chief was Nana Sabarima Dotodidi Takyia Ameyaw II. He was an ex-serviceman and reigned for 14 years. The funeral according to the Okyeame Antwi Boasiako would be held on 27th February 2010 at Takyiman in Brong Ahafo region. Okyeame Antwi said Takyimans are fully behind President Mills and urged him to focus on his development agenda rather than on criticisms. The reigning Omanhene of Takyiman Traditional area Osadeayo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, thanked President Mills for listening to their request to appoint their kinsmen into governmental positions. The regional minister of Brong Ahafo, Hon. Kwadwo Maro Nyametse on behalf of the delegation invited President Mills to the funeral.
