GNPC Foundation Awarded At Ghana Shippers Awards (PHOTOS)

GNPC Foundation on Friday, 12th July 2019 was awarded at the Ghana Shippers Awards as the best institution in delivering Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Ghana Shippers Awards provides a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.

The awards recognize distinctions in the field of road transportation, ocean carriers, air transportation, freight forwarding, shipping agents, express services, courier agencies, government agencies, insurance and financial institutions and development of the industry that promote growth and sustainability.

In the year under review, GNPC Foundation has and continue to build ‘6’unit of classroom blocks across the nation, provision of laboratory apparatus and equipment for schools, provision of sanitary facilities for schools and major markets, provision of boreholes to deprived areas especially in the northern regions, construction of artificial turfs, offer of foreign and local scholarships to Ghanaian students to study STEM subjects, among other social interventions.

The Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr Dominic Kwesi Eduah, who received the honours of “Excellence in CSR Company” on behalf of the Foundation said the operations of the Foundation is in tandem with the broad vision of GNPC which is to have a profound and remarkable impact on the quality of life of the people of Ghana.”We will continue to invest our share of the oil revenue in Ghanaians as a way of empowering and imparting their lives,” he stated.

Dr. Eduah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Board Chairman of GNPC, Mr. Freddie Blay and the Chief Executive, Dr K.K Sarpong whose policy directions and leadership have contributed immensely towards building the Foundation.

 The Foundation was nominated alongside MCDAN Shipping Company Ltd, Ghana Community Network Services Ltd (GCNET), Apex Shipping And Commercial Company Ltd, Benmarine Offshore Services, Nungua Warehouse Group Of Companies And CAGL.
