PZ Cussons Ghana launches ‘Cussons Baby Moments Season 2’
The second season of ‘Cussons Baby Moments’, an annual baby photo contest from PZ Cussons aimed at encouraging family bonding through baby photos has been launched.
The event which runs as a nationwide photo contest for babies (0 – 24 months old) by Cussons Baby, a PZ Cussons brand, will see winners grab cash prizes among others.
There is a GHC10,000 cash for the Baby of the Year while the 1st Runner Up is expected to be rewarded with GHC4,000. The 2nd Runner Up on the other hand will receive GHC2,000, organisers say.
Top 10 Finalists, according to organisers, will all get exciting prizes including gift vouchers, Cussons Baby products and a professional baby photoshoot.
“We were overwhelmed by the resounding success of Cussons Baby Moments Season 1. The huge participation and response from Ghanaian parents, families and guardians assured us that this was an activity that was here to stay,” said David Afflu, Business Unit Director of PZ Cussons Ghana during the launch.
“This year marks season 2 of Cussons Baby moments in Ghana and the theme for this year is ‘Sharing Magic moments’. Once again, we aim to build on the excitement from last year and encourage families to bond with their children through capturing and sharing of pictures. We look forward to all the magic moments that will be shared this season as we reward the ultimate winner with 10,000 cash.”
To enter the Cussons Baby moments competition, simply buy any 3 Cussons Baby products or a Cussons Baby Gift pack, take a photo of your child with the products visible and upload on www.cussonsbaby.com.gh. Entries close on 9th September 2019.

2. Cussons Baby Moments Ghana - Season 2
In Ghana, Cussons Baby Moments is run as a nationwide Photo Contest for babies 0 – 24 Months old, by Cussons Baby, a PZ Cussons brand, to discover the Baby of the Year.
2019 is the second Season, with even more exciting prizes to be won, starting with the Ultimate Prize of 10,000 Ghana Cedis Cash for the Baby of the Year. 1st Runner Up - 4,000 Cedis and the 2nd Runner Up - 2,000 Cedis. Our Top 10 Finalists all get exciting prizes including gift vouchers and Cussons Baby products and a Professional baby Photoshoot.
The theme for Cussons Baby Moments season 2 is 'Sharing Magic Moments', which highlights our focus of getting families to bond through the competition. In 2019, the Baby of the Year’s Parents/Guardian will get to choose a hospital or orphanage for a donation from Cussons Baby, as an additional Corporate Social Responsibility activity tied into the campaign.
3. How do I join Cussons Baby Moments - Season 2
i. BUY. A Cussons Baby Gift Pack or Any 3 Cussons Baby Products.
ii. SNAP. A cute, colorful and creative photo of your baby 0-24 months; baby's date of birth must be in July 2017 or later) with the Cussons Baby products.
iii. UPLOAD. Upload via our Contest App on cussonsbaby.com.gh (July 13th to September 9th, 2019. 8 Weeks)
iv. VOTE. Get family and friends to vote, vote, vote. (Voting Starts in September 2019)

4. How will Winners be Selected?
Eligibility:
The person submitting the Baby Photo must be a Parent, Sibling or Legal Guardian of the Baby
Process After Entries Close:
Stage 1: Top 100 - Public will vote after entries close to select the Top 100 Babies, based on highest votes.
Stage 2: Top 30 - Judges will select their Top 30, based on defined criteria from the Top 100 Babies
Stage 3: Top 10 - Public will vote to choose the Top 10 Babies from the Top 30, based on highest votes.
Note: The votes in this round will help decide who wins. 50% of the Score for the Winner will be based on the votes at this stage.
Stage 4: Grand Finale.
Top 10 Babies will compete at the Grand Finale, and Judges will Score each Top 10 baby based on defined criteria, which will count for 50% of the Score of the Winner.
WINNERS:
The Baby of the Year 2019, the 1st Runner Up and the 2nd Runner will be the babies from the Top 10 with the Highest Total Scores from Public Votes and Judges Score.
ELIGIBILITY & VOTING
1. Baby’s Age
0 – 24 Months. Maximum 24 Months in July 2019. Born in July 2017 or LATER
2. Voting Mechanics
a. Voting is restricted to voters in Ghana
b. Each voter gets Five (5) Total Votes per Voting Round (5 Votes for Top 100 Voting / 5 Votes for Top 10 Voting)
c. Each voter gets ONLY One (1) Vote per Baby
d. Voting will be through Facebook Accounts ONLY to ensure strong Fraud Detection
e. Entries detected to have fraudulent votes will either have those votes eliminated or entry disqualified in totality
3. Fraud Prevention
There is a system in place to ensure fraudulent votes are highlighted for our team to act.
i. We will use a Fraud Index from our Technical Partner, EasyPromos in Europe.
ii. Each vote on an entry is scored for its likelihood to be fraudulent based on several technical factors and is factored into the Fraud Index for each Entry.
iii. At the end of the voting, if the system scores an entry with a Fraud Index ABOVE 100, then it means most of the votes were by suspicious means and Organizers may disqualify that entry
