NDC Will Not Collapse Good Free SHS Policy – Former Dep. Education Minister

Former Deputy Education Minster, Alex Kyeremeh has debunked allegations that the oposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) plans to collapse the free Senior High School policy rolled out by the NPP government.

He says an NDC government has no such thoughts on its drawing board, but will rather improve it.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia programme, he explained that the NDC started the progressive free senior High School Policy and that they had plans to extend it even while in office.

"Unfortunately, we got kicked out of power. That does not mean that the NDC will collapse the free SHS programme . . .

"When elected into power in 2020, we are going to provide infrastructure to absorb more students into the free SHS policy. The NDC will not in any way collapse such a good policy," he stated.

He maintained that Ghanaians will know more about how the NDC will go about improving the free SHS policy "when we launch the party’s manifesto for 2020 elections".
