My Husband’s Killers Must Be Shot Dead, Too – Policeman’s Widow

The widow of one of the slain police officers at Kasoa Buduburam in the Central Region is demanding that the killers of her husband be put to death in the same manner they took Lance Caporal Mohammed Awal's life.

Faridatu Yahya told Class FM in an interview that anything short of the killing of her husband’s murderers will not be justice served.

"I suggest they should be punished according to how they killed my husband”, she said, explaining: “The same way they killed him, they should be punished like that. They should be shot to death”.

The 32-year-old Lance Corporal and Sergeant Michael Dzamesi were shot dead by some unidentified robbers at Kasoa Budumburam on Wednesday, 28 August 2019.

The police have since arrested three suspects in connection with the murders.

The late Lance Corporal Awal is being buried at Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District of the Ashanti region in accordance with Islamic tradition.

The late Lance Corporal left behind four children.
