Asante Kotoko leapt on the Glo Premier League table following a 2-0 win over Bechem Chelsea on Wednesday in a delayed encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Edward Affum struck in the 4th minute before Frank Boateng added the second on 38 minutes to seal the win.
Kotoko have moved from the 11th position to 7th and have been boosted ahead of Sunday's Caf Champions League second leg qualifier.They must overturn a 2-0 deficit to progress the continent's flagship club event.
