Acting National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi has alleged that a recent press conference held by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was for Asiedu Nketiah to launch his vice-presidential ambition.

The General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito according to reports is one of the candidates tipped to be the running mate of former President John Dramani Mahama. 

Speaking in a one-on-one interview on UTV morning show Adekye Nsroma, Asiedu Nketiah said even though he has not been asked to be Mahama's running mate, he will welcome any opportunity to serve the party.

Asiedu Nketiah led a press conference on Tuesday where he criticized President Akufo-Addo's comment on corruption. However, Adomako Baafi thinks it was only to indicate his readiness to be the running mate for the NDC.
