Ankoma Community Gets New KG-Block From Bryan Acheampong Foundation

The Bryan Acheampong Foundation (BAF) has cut sod ceremony to begin the construction of a two-unit kindergarten school block with ancillary facilities for the Ankoma community in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region.

The Project, which is expected is to be completed in three months is estimated at One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Ghana cedis (150,000,00) is being financed by the Bryan Acheampong Foundation (BAF) and to be constructed by Wenja Construction Solution.

In his address, the Director of BAF, Mr. Lawrence Amartey noted that, the Ankoma D/A basic school was chosen not only based on its dilapidated nature but the milieu of pupils that it serves. Mr. Amartey reiterated that education was an indispensable tool for the development of every community and the nation at large, hence the foundation deemed it appropriate to support the cause of education in every community within the district to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

The Headteacher of Ankoma D/A Basic school, Mr. Isaac Obeng said the project had come at an opportune time, since the school has to suspend classes anytime it rained. 

The Manager, Livelihood Empowerment at the Foundation, Mr. Anthony Mankona, encouraged the contractor to recruit workers for the project from the area as means of giving employment to the youth in the community. He called on the chiefs and people of Ankoma to cooperate with the contractor and offer him the necessary assistance to enable him to complete the project on time.

The chief of Ankoma, Nana Amenanor Kodua ǁ, who chaired the function was full of praise for the Patron of the Foundation for honoring the pledge to improve the living conditions of the people within the district. He urged his townspeople to give the Foundation their massive support as they worked to transform the district.
