Editorial: Is The NDC Really In Power?

Its almost a year and half since Ghanaians gave power to the Professor Mills led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to prosecute the Better Ghana agenda. The NDC government seems to have a strange appetite to maintain known enemies in sensitive position. A couple of days ago the Enquirer News Paper made some revelation about how some billions of Cedis meant for Tema Oil Refinery Debt recovery was misused by some members of the previous administration. Within 24 hours of the publication the accounts section of the Information Ministry where it is alleged those documents were expected to be kept was burnt down. As things stand, Ghanaians are yet to be told about what happened to the enquiry into the fire that gutted the entire Foreign Affairs ministry. What The New Voice views as most pathetic and most unfortunate is the manner in which government has reinstated public officials who resigned to do active politics. It is a known fact that Ex President Rawlings has suffered many tongue waging and insults because he had come out to ask the Mills administration take charge of affairs. The New Voice is of the view that Ex President Rawlings had seen it all in his 19 years rule of the country hence, his words of caution should be listened to with rapt attention and caution.
