NAPO, Nana B Et Al Storm Ashanti Regional TESCON Training & Orientation Conference

The Youth wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party as part of efforts to build the capacity and enhance the competence of TESCON Executives across the country, yesterday held an orientation and training program for the executives in the Ashanti Region on the campus of Kumasi Technical University.

The program was under the theme; “Re-energizing, Re-tooling and Repositioning TESCON for Victory 2020 & beyond”. It saw party stalwarts and government functionaries with enormous experience in politics train over 500 TESCON executives from 50 institutions across the region on carefully selected topics.

Taking his turn at the event, Lawyer Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko charged the participants to equip themselves with the facts and truth in order to dismantle the propaganda of the NDC. “Remain competent in what you do and stay loyal to your party” Gabby admonished. He also proposed to NPP Youth wing to adopt ‘one good term deserves another’ as a 2020 campaign message.

On the part of the Minister of Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, he conscientized participants on the need to offer a service full of respect, integrity and dignity to the party, stating that “the service to NPP on the TESCON platform is not a quid pro quo arrangement.” Napo boldly declared that “the best is yet to come from the NPP”

Participants were also taken through the rudiments of canvassing and grassroot politics by Lawyer Justin Kodua whereas the unique identity and philosophy of the NPP were made known to participants by F. F. Antoh.

The Founding President of TESCON, Francis Asenso Boakye expressed his delight to see TESCON being re-energized, re-tooled and repositioned for Elections 2020.

To crown it all, the Youth Leader, Nana B charged TESCON to look beyond the usual handing over ceremony, symposiums and other pomp and pageantry programs and focus more on initiatives that will enhance the electoral fortunes of the NPP. “Deploy the skills and knowledge you have acquired today in a way and manner that will increase our membership base for a smooth victory in 2020 and beyond” Nana B added.

F. Antoh (2nd National Vice Chairman of NPP), Maxwell Kofi Jumah (CEO of GIHOC), Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong (CEO of YEA), Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah (CEO of COTVET), Dr. Kingsley Nyarko (CEO of National Accreditation Authority), Nelson Owusu Ansah (Deputy CEO of NYA).

Also present were Kwaku Tabi Amponsah (Deputy MD of Ghana Post), Dr. Kwame Prempeh (Deputy CEO of PPA), Vincent Frimpong Manu (Deputy CEO of Middle Belt Authority), Jerry Osei-Poku (ER Youth Organiser) and Dennis Kwakwa (AR Youth Organizer).
