The orphan constituencies in the Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Upper West and North East Regions, over the weekends and early this week, had a fair share of benefits of the Orphan Constituency Project (OCP) under the auspices of the national youth wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The project is the brainchild of the NPP YouthOrganizer, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye popularly called Nana B and aims at re-tooling, resourcing and empowering constituencies where the NPP has no sitting MPs to secure the Parliamentary seats for the party in the 2020 general elections.

Since the launch of the project in about two months ago, about 60 orphan constituencies in 12 Regions  have received motorbikes and other relevant provisions.

The remaining Regions such as Oti, Volta and Greater Accra among others are scheduled to become beneficiaries of the project before the end of this year.

The NPP national youth wing  is poised to win more orphan constituency seats, come 2020.
