The Ministry of the Interior has declared Monday, March 8, 2010 as a statutory public holiday.
According to a statement signed by the Minister of the Interior, Mr Martin Amidu, and issued in Accra, this was because March 6, which is the original date for the holiday, fell on a weekend.
