GNPC Foundation Bags 4 Awards At SSI Awards In Accra

For exceptionally delivering on its mandate of impacting lives, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has been honoured at the just ended Sustainability and Social Investment (SSI) Awards held last Friday at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra.

The company picked up highly competitive awards including The Best Company in Community and Support Project, Best Company in Promoting Arts and Culture, Best Company in Clean Water Provision Project and SSI Project Company of the Year (Education Category).

The Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah expressed profound gratitude to  beneficiaries and gladly dedicated the awards to every Ghanaian.

Dr. Eduah again thanked the Board Chairman of GNPC, Mr. Freddie Blay and the Chief Executive, Dr K.K Sarpong whose policy directions and leadership have contributed immensely towards building the Foundation.

The Foundation was nominated alongside McDan, MTN, Zoomlion Ghana Limited and Goldfields among others.

The Board Chairman of the SSI Awards, Dr. Heyman Adu said the aim of the awards to identify and publicly recognize the exemplary performance and achievements of companies and foundations operating in Ghana to improve livelihoods in the communities they serve through their sustainable and social investment projects.

This year's SSI Awards is its third edition and was under the theme "Celebrating impactful brands and their sustainable legacies".

Present at the function were Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne and Joseph Obeng Opoku, Chief Director of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources who represented the Sector Minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah among other distinguished dignitaries.
