President Akufo-Addo has congratulated Boris Johnson following a massive victory in the UK election.

The UK Prime Minister led his Conservative Party to a historic victory which some pundits claim is strategic especially as he campaigns to get 'Brexit done'. 

In a tweet the President wrote: Warm congratulations @BorisJohnson on your decisive, historic win. We have an opportunity, together, to renew and strengthen the relations between our two countries, focusing on enhancing trade and investment, and scaling up prosperity for our peoples".

He further noted that "the common democratic aspirations and values of our two nations provide us with a strong platform for going forward. The Ghanaian people and I wish you the very best of luck and lots of success in the future".
