Inusah Fuseini Flays Prez Akufo-Addo For Appointing Justice Anin-Yeboah As CJ

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Tamale Central and Member of the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee of Parliament, Inusah Fuseini says the President has not been fair over the appointment of Justice Anin-Yeboah as Chief Justice.

He says the President though exercised his discretion should have been balanced.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that the President should have appointed Justice Jones Dotse who is more senior than Justice Anin-Yeboah who will retire in 4 years.

This nomination means that the chances of Dotse are closed because he is older than Justice Anin-Yeboah.

"The President got it all wrong this time and I’m really disappointed in what the President has done," he said.

"It’s regionally unbalanced and tribally inaccurate because, in the history of this country, it is only once that a Voltarian has been appointed as Chief Justice," he added.
