Best Public Speaker At The 2020 World Universities Debating Championship Pays Courtesy Call On Ayawaso West Wuguon MP

The winner of the best Public Speaker award at the World Universities Debating Championship 2020, Kwaku Apreku Agyepong on Saturday, January 11, 2020 paid a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuguon, Madam Lydia Syreme Alhassan, and presented her the trophy.

Kwaku Apreku Agyepong, a Level 300 Law student of the University of Ghana (UG), made the University proud at the 40th edition of the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) 2020, as the award makes the University of Ghana the only black University to have won the category at the World's University Debate Championship.

Over 400 teams from 250 Universities and Tertiary institutions across the world participated in the event which was held at the Assumption University of Thailand, Bangkok.

Madam Lydia Alhassan commended Kwaku Apreku Agyepong and the University of Ghana for emerging victor in the competition.

She also urged them to maintain their academic standards and continue to raise the flag of Ghana high in every competition.
