AUDIO: Why Kofi Akpaloo Almost Attacked APC Secretary At IPAC Meeting With A Chair

The leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo almost fought with the General Secretary of All People’s Congress (APC), Mordechai Thiombiano Lompo at a meeting between the Electoral Commission, its Eminent Advisory Committee and the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) over the Commission's decision to compile a voters' register.

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito in an interview on Neat FM's Me Man Nti programme, Thursday after the IPAC meeting, confirmed the brawl and added that but for the timely intervention of Archbishop Palmer-Buckle, Kofi Akpaloo would have hit Mordecai with a chair.

According to him, the APC General Secretary was trying to stop Kofi Akpaloo from recording proceedings at the meeting; something which is against the standing orders of IPAC. However, the LPG leader resisted, leading to the scuffle.

In an interview on the same platform, he said it was Hasan Ayariga of the APC who rather created confusion at the meeting.
