The visionary leadership of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been hailed by Kenya.

In a letter to Ghana, Kenya recounts the important milestones achieved by the country in the area of education.

The Double Track as introduced by the Education Ministry to take care of the increased numbers of students enjoying the flagship Free SHS policy, is not only being praised but being copied as well by Kenya.

In a letter written to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and signed by Prof. George A. O. Magoha, CBS, the Kenyan Education Ministry is applauding the robust reforms Ghana under President Akufo-Addo has embarked upon which are responsible for the successes being chalked in the sector.

Kenya is requesting the Education Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh to send officers from his ministry to spend some ten days in Kenya with the view to conceptualizing and designing the Double Track system for Kenya.

"I applaud you for the robust reforms that your country has embarked on and the success stories that are emerging. It is in this regard that I am writing to you to request for government to government technical support in conceptualising and designing a Double Track System that will enable Kenya achieve 100% transition for two cohorts of learners who will transition to secondary school in 2023" part of the letter reads.

This development gives credence to the fact that the Double Track system is a good interventional product that sought to solve an interim challenge.

Some political party leaders have sought to run down Double Track for obvious reasons.

Once again, when a country has a visionary leader, the introduction of a policy or system that is seen to be a masterclass leads to his peers in other jurisdictions copying same.
