NDC Parliamentary Candidate For Ahanta West Dies

The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for the Ahanta West constituency in the Western Region, George Kwame Aboagye, has passed on.
He died on Monday, February 3, 2020, at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, a statement issued by the NDC said.

The late George Kwame Aboagye was one time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) under the President J. E. A. Mills administration.

He was also Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahanta West in the Western Region between January 2013 and January 2017.

He was preparing for a come back to Parliament in an attempt to take back the seat which the New Patriotic Party snatched from him in the 2016 parliamentary election.

A statement issued by the Western Regional Communications officer of the NDC, Mr Kirk-Mensah confirmed the sudden demise of the parliamentary aspirant.
