New Voters Register: Every Political Party Selfish And Not Fighting In Ghana's Interest – NPP Communicator Confesses

Member of the New Patriotic Party [NPP] communications team, Stephen Amoah has categorically charged politicians in Ghana especially NDC and NPP members to be truthful and transparent in their dealings to uplift the image of the nation.

Speaking in reference to the decision taken by the Electoral Commission [EC] to compile a new voters register, he stressed that such a welcoming news should not have created any controversy.

According to him every political party in this country with facts know that the current voters register even though has been used for various elections in the past, is not credible.

“ . . We [members of the NPP] cannot say we are not corrupt, just that members of the NDC outweigh our level of corruption. Compilation of a new voters register should not at all be a problem among political parities if we were truthful amongst ourselves,” he said on UTV's Adekye Nsroma programme.

The former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer for the NPP confirmed on the programme that “every stance taken by the various political parties in respect to the EC’s decision are all in interest and favour of the political parties they belong to, but not to the betterment of the nation .”
