NDC National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi has accused President Nana Akufo-Addo of spending millions of cedis on foreign travels.

Speaking on Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV, Sammy Gyamfi stated that “NPP and Akufo-Addo are spending borrowed funds on consumption. President Akufo-Addo and his useless globetrotting activities in 9 months in 2019, this wasteful President spends Ghc 63 million on foreign travels”,

He also noted that former President John Mahama used borrowed funds to improve infrastructure in Ghana but his successor is only interested in “chop chop”.

“It’s not true the debt position today is better than it was under John Mahama because the NPP have added almost Ghc110, billion...Akufo-Addo and his government has  borrowed more but nothing to show for it...they spent the people’s money on tea party and travels”, he stated.
