NDC Fights To Stay In Equilibrium After Bawumia's Hefty Blow Dazes Them

Ghanaians have become accustomed to NDC's lies and propaganda when it comes to dealing with economic data.

The people have learned how to winnow exaggerations and mendacious claims from verifiable facts.

The Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at the Ashanti Region Town Hall Meeting used empirical data to downsize NDC's claim to having achieved a lot economically when they were in power.

Economic growth rates, over the past three years, have been among the fastest globally, and this, he supported with data. The Vice President wasted no efforts to remind the NDC that their best has been our worst.

This delivery by the Vice President laced with unimpeachable facts has left the NDC groggy. Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen show with Philip Osei Bonsu as the host, found himself wanting.

Felix, when asked to dispute and to present counter facts to what Dr. Bawumia presented, only came up with the same old, mundane and unreliable 14% growth rate Ghana achieved under their watch.

The NDC communicator insisted that that figure is the best in Ghana's history and the Akufo-Addo led team can never reach that milestone.

Felix forgets to tell us that that growth rate they have been touting was procured due to the oil President John Agyekum Kufour discovered in commercial quantities and which were mined when the NDC came to office.

If that feat was achieved as a result of some magical work or effortful performance they put in, why didn't we have a suatained or continuous growth rates in that same region?

That one-off huge growth rate was artificial, at best since it could not be replicated in subsequent years. More importantly, why bequeath a paltry 3.5% growth rate to Akufo-Addo if they were better managers of the economy?

This is all they can do. You would never get NDC communicators speaking to figures but digressing from topics and inventing voodoo figures and making funny juxtapositions.
