Finally, majority leader and legislator for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has been given the greenlight to run unoppose in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party.

This achievement has led to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP showering praises on contestants who had earlier declared their intention to contest him.

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, praised lawyer John Darko and Dr. Suagya for bowing out of the contest with dignity and promised that the party would reward them for their action.

He also praised Hon. Hackman Owusu Agyemang and Dr. Amoako Tuffour for playing an integral role in the negotiations that went on. According to him, the Ashanti region has benefitted enormously from their wise counsel.

Chairman Wontumi also thanked his General Secretary, Mr. John Boadu for the assistance he came with anytime the region called on him.
