A Letter To John Mahama: You Can't Keep Silent Forever On The Airbus Scandal

Dear JM,

There was this movie I watched in the 90s titled 'P.O.W, the Escape'. It was about some soldiers who had been captured and imprisoned. You are in the same category. You are a prisoner of this Airbus scandal. It is an albatross which has no intention of liberating you.

You turned yourself into an enemy of the very state you swore to protect and promote. Like hyenas, you and your siblings scavenged the coffers of the state from foreign lands.

In very subtle ways, you used your brother, Samuel Mahama, otherwise known as Intermediary 5, to front for you in those shady dealings with Airbus and Embraer.

You have been loudly silent in the aftermath of this international disgrace you have brought upon the land.

For reasons so discernible to us, you have circumnavigated responding to questions about your involvement in the Airbus scandal.

When the fishermen visited you, they nosily pried from you the role you played in that saga. As it has been your wont, you pretentiously ignored their concern and went on to verbally butcher the Electoral Commission.

JM, the seeming silence on the matter should not be translated to mean that Ghanaians, in their forgetfulness, have retired the murky world of Airbusgate with its concomitant angles. The facts are on their way coming and the world would see how you and your brothers murdered this country.

I am told that you hardly read the international tabloids lately because of this scandal. Well, let me report something to you in the international media landscape.

Kuwait, that oil rich country, is launching investigations into some kickbacks your people, Airbus, paid to another Samuel Mahama to another John Dramani Mahama in the country in the purchase of planes from the aerospace manufacturing company some six years ago.

Airbus is not dying. Mr. Government Official 1/Individual 1, you would do yourself a world of good to start singing like a canary bird.

By the time all the facts would hit the airwaves about your involvement in this Airbus issue, the NDC would realize they have no candidate in you.

You can remain silent but your silence is shortlived. You will start fumbling in no time.
